A Night of Comedy and Storytelling with Irish come A Night of Comedy and Storytelling with Irish comedian David Nihill.
Leaving Dublin, Ireland where he was born and raised until the age of 22, David got drunk on travel and never quite hit sobriety of it. He has lived and worked in twelve countries and visited over seventy. His shows draw on his wide travels, cultural observations, attempts at language study, (occasional) international drinking session(s) and being a mildly confused immigrant. His brand new show Taking Tangents promised to do just that.
Sat Feb 7, 2026 6:30pm at the York Theatre. Find out more via the blog post link in our bio or at irishinbc.ca/blog/

Earlier this year, we launched our blood donation campaign, 100 people joined our Partners for Life team and 96 rolled up their sleeves to give blood.
Now, Irish in BC and @icccvan are coming together to keep that momentum going by building an Irish Community Blood Drive that gives back to our city and helps the whole community.
Less than 2% of eligible Canadians donate, so every drop matters. Help us to continue making a difference!
Sign up with Canadian Blood Services, then link your profile to the Irish in BC Partners for Life team. See the link in our bio for details.

From now until October 30th, the SAMHAIN Roots of Halloween Series takes place at the Vancouver Internation Film Festival (VIFF) in partnership with the Consulate General of Ireland.
Samhain: Roots of Halloween is a film series celebrating Ireland as the home of Halloween with a selection of Irish horror films here in Vancouver!
From modern masterpieces to lost folk classics, this series dives into the dark heart of Samhain, the ancient Celtic festival that is the origin of Halloween. Irish language, landscapes, and folklore seen through an entirely new lens (including the first horror movie entirely in the Irish language!)
The film series will culminate with the Canadian premiere of a lost classic, The Outcasts, followed by a panel discussion on Irish horror, the dark power of folklore, tradition and disruption.
For film information, trailers & tickets, check out @viffest
