The Consulate General of Ireland, Vancouver invites readers to join its upcoming book club discussion of Donal Ryan’s Heart, Be At Peace, winner of the 2024 Irish Book of the Year.
Set in a small rural Irish town recovering from economic hardship, the novel follows a close-knit community as a new and unsettling threat begins to emerge. Told through twenty-one voices, this lyrical and moving story can be read independently or alongside Ryan’s acclaimed debut, The Spinning Heart.
