In celebration of Irish Heritage Month, the Irish Women’s Network of BC is holding the 3rd Annual Irish Soda Bread Bake-off on Friday, March 6th 10am to 12 noon at the Consulate General of Ireland.

Which is best – brown soda bread or white soda bread with currants? Think your mother or granny’s recipe is the best?? Have a gluten-free or vegan version you want us to try? Get your entry into the competition!
About the competition:
1) Submissions must be homemade.
2) All bakers must register through irishwomensnetwork@gmail.com and bread must be received on the day no later than 9:45am at the Consulate in order to be entered in the competition.
3) There is no fee to enter.
4) Judging will commence at 11:15am by an independent judge.
5) Attendees will also be able to vote for the People’s Choice award.
6) Winners will get their photo in the Irish in BC newsletter, bragging rights and a gift card from the IWN.
