Nollaig na mBan shona daoibh go léir a mhná áille – Happy Women’s Christmas to all of you beautiful women!
Every year, the Irish Women’s Network of BC coordinates a special brunch on the Sunday closest to January 6th to celebrate Nollaig na mBan, or Women’s Christmas. This year, fifty Irish women of all ages came together on Sunday, January 4th at the Wolf & Hound Pub for a joyful gathering.
January 6th, the Feast of the Epiphany, marks the official end of the Christmas season. In many parts of Ireland, traditions see roles reversed, with men taking over the household duties while women step out to relax, connect and celebrate.
In Vancouver, this cherished tradition continues to thrive, bringing local women together year after year.
